"Life is about finding the happy medium of dysfunction"
Think about it, dysfunction… what is it? Well we all have our own dysfunctions and live our life the way we want to. What makes life special is when you have friends or family who understand our dysfunction and relate to it or have similar dysfunctions, if that makes sense😉I came up with this topic randomly when having some chats earlier this week and it came to me. Life is a is about finding the happy medium of dysfunction. We all have our own way of functioning in this world, however dysfunctional it maybe. I will try and break this down.
With it being the week of Valentines, lets talk about “love” for example. Love and its description of it and understanding is completely different to each and, every one of us. For example, some may like an external display of love and need that regular feedback that things are great whereas some don’t need that, and these individuals may also like presents, cards etc for further acknowledgement. Whereas there are others who like to have a chat, maybe have a meal or watch a movie for instance. These individuals maybe more about the experience of love and being present in the moment rather than an external display of it. There is not a right or wrong way, its just about the way we are as people and how we perceive, give or receive love, be it with your partner, friend, or a family member. There are just different types of love with similar types of acknowledgement depending on our own expectations and experience. Some of us may also be a combo but steer more one way than the other.
Decision making can be tough sometimes for example when you have one who follows the heart and the other who follows the head more. This can sometimes cause some conflict. Its great to have a balance between the head and the heart. Again, this depends on how far we are one way compared to the other. The one who follows their head more may find it difficult to understand the one who follows their heart. On the contrary they maybe able to complement each other and learn from each other thereby evolving further and lean more towards the opposite direction to their natural own.
Furthermore, as we grow and develop in this world and throw ourselves in various adventures in life we allow ourselves to change. What used to mean so important becomes less important and vice versa sometimes. I guess life is about finding the happy medium of dysfunction whatever that means to each one of us in our own way.
